William Amos Deacon founded the business back in 1951 to create a trusted and reliable funeral service in post-war Suffolk. He built the business on a strong heritage of experience; the Deacon family have worked in the funeral business, in Lavenham, as far back as the 16th century.
William’s son David joined the business as a partner in 1959 and today David and his son Paul are managing partners continuing the legacy of trust and reliability that was William’s ambition nearly 70 years ago. David or Paul personally manage every single funeral and you’ll meet one or both of them when you come to visit the office.
Together with a team of experienced and trusted employees, they work to create personal and thoughtful funerals unique to each individual client.
When you visit us
Our offices are located in Lavenham in the heart of rural Suffolk. Quiet and peaceful surroundings provide a calm environment for us to discuss your wishes for your loved one. We have a dedicated chapel of rest where friends and family members can visit and pay their respects, all in their own time.
Either David or Paul will welcome you when you arrive and guide you through the whole funeral arrangement process.
